Detailed rendering experience

I recently used RenderStreet for a complex Blender project involving Octane. The ordering process was straightforward; I just uploaded my files and selected the engine. I opted for the NVIDIA L40s GPU nodes, and the performance was impressive. Delivery took about 2 days for all 300 frames, which was reasonable considering the complexity. I had a small question about plugin support, and their customer service responded within a few hours, clarifying everything. The quality of the rendered output was excellent, matching my local tests perfectly. The web-based project management dashboard kept me updated on the progress, which was helpful. It made rendering a large animation much less stressful than doing it myself. I'd use them again for sure, especially for GPU-intensive tasks.

Good value for my animation

I was looking for a good deal on cloud rendering for a short animation. RenderStreet offered a first project credit which helped a lot. It felt like a solid investment compared to rendering on my own machine. The cost per server hour was reasonable and I got my frames quickly. Definitely worth the price for what I got.

Reliable service, minor upload issue

My experience with RenderStreet for a Modo architectural visualization was mostly positive. The V-Ray for Modo rendering worked perfectly, and the results were high quality. Delivery was prompt, exactly as estimated. The web-based project management was easy to navigate. My only small gripe was uploading a really large .blend file; it took a bit longer than I expected, even with FTP. But overall, a good service that got the job done well.

Fast and smooth rendering!

I used RenderStreet for a Blender animation and it was incredibly fast. The Eevee engine rendering just flew by. My project was done in no time. I'm definitely coming back for all my future renders and telling all my artist friends about it!

Hey, thinking about trying RenderStreet for my Blender projects. Does anyone know if they still give new users some free credits to start?

C Cleo Whitfield 1 month ago
Yeah, I got like $25 when I signed up a few months ago. Good way to test it out without paying.

They usually do. Pretty sure it's for your first project or something. Worth checking their site or just signing up to see.

I'm thinking about the RenderStreet One vs RenderStreet Studio plans. What's the main difference there?

A Andre 2 months ago
One is more for individual artists, Studio is for teams with more features like dedicated support and project management tools. If you're solo, One is probably fine.

C Carly 2 months ago
Studio has more bells and whistles, more control, and team features. One is just the basic unlimited rendering. If you're a freelancer, One is usually enough.

Is RenderStreet any good compared to, say, Fox Renderfarm or RebusFarm? Looking for opinions.

S Sarah Hughes 1 month ago
For Blender and Modo specifically, RenderStreet is really optimized. I've had better luck with them than Fox for complex scenes.

I've used both RenderStreet and RebusFarm. RenderStreet is often faster for Cycles and Eevee stuff in Blender, and their support is solid.

Quick question on payment. If I have a promo code, when do I actually punch that in? Is it before or after I upload my project?

R Ryan W. 2 months ago
You put it in when you're adding funds or signing up for a subscription plan. Not during the project upload itself.

C Colin 1 month ago
It's usually during the checkout process, when you're making a deposit or buying a monthly plan. Not after you've started.

I'm a student, are there any discounts for us? Other farms sometimes offer that.

J Jared Romero 1 month ago
Pretty sure I saw something about a student discount when I was looking into it. Might be on their FAQ.

My buddy got one last year. You probably have to prove you're enrolled, but yeah, they usually have something for students.

how long does it typically take for a decent sized animation project to render? like 1000 frames at 1080p?

D David Okafor 2 months ago
Totally depends on your scene complexity and how many nodes you throw at it. Could be hours, could be a day. They have a good system for estimating though.

J Jared V. 2 months ago
It's hard to say without knowing your scene, but they're pretty fast. You can scale up the nodes, so it'll blast through it quicker if you pay more.

About how much does this place cost per hour for rendering? Trying to budget for an animation.

J Julia 1 month ago
Depends on the server, but it's competitive. They also have those unlimited monthly plans which can be cheaper if you render a lot.
3
E Emma 1 month ago
Honestly, it varies. CPU is cheaper than GPU, and if you get a subscription, it's a better deal per hour. I think it's around $0.05-$0.15 for CPU, but GPU can be more.
